This covers this website and its book-a-demo form. It isn't about players' data in games that use Bellows: that's between each studio and its players, and Bellows processes it for the studio under a separate agreement.
Who we are
Bellows is made by MetaForge Gaming Ltd ("we"). We decide what happens to what you send through the form, which makes us its controller under UK data protection law.
What we keep
- What you type into the form: your name, email, studio, role, game, genre, team size, engine, where the game is, its link, what you'd use first, whether you'd like to be a founding studio, and anything else you write.
- A scrambled stand-in for your network address (a keyed hash), so we can stop one sender flooding the form. We never keep the address itself.
That's all. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising, and loads nothing from anyone else: even its fonts come from here.
Why
To arrange your demo, to choose founding studios, and to plan what Bellows does first. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you've asked to hear from us, and we use what you sent for that and nothing else.
Who sees it
Only the people at MetaForge working on Bellows. We don't sell it, share it or add you to a mailing list. It's stored in Bellows' own database on Cloudflare, which runs our servers for us.
How long
Two years at most, then it's deleted automatically. If you become a founding studio or a customer, what we keep after that is set out in our agreement with you.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. To ask, reply to any email we've sent you, or send the form again from the same email address and say what you'd like in "Anything else?". We'll do it within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
